It might indeed take a long time, but if we start with our children then perhaps we can have more cities, towns, and villages in the UK where people of different faiths and none tend not to huddle together but learn to live together across the country, if not the world, in that atmosphere of “tolerance, love and respect”.

I quote from his article:

“We need schools where children of all faiths and none can live and learn alongside one another in an atmosphere of tolerance, love and respect. These are the core values of all religions and ethical systems as well as being the values that our society should be doing all in its power to instil in its young people. Unity of opportunity and not fragmentation has to be the way forward.”

Every country in the world has had its “misfits” as well as those with mental health problems and we can never really hope to rid mankind of the challenges that they sometimes bring to us. Various Muslim communities in this country have already shown their great and sympathetic support for the victims of this latest “hate” crime, as have others. We need to come together at times like this and show ourselves and the rest of the world that we are one human race, albeit with its challenges. But we have to keep it in perspective and not allow these relatively few “misfits” to turn us against each other.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6942478546968158905.post-20321490285007688762017-03-24T21:05:37.065+00:002017-03-24T21:05:37.065+00:00so Robin what do we do to counter extremist (Islam...so Robin what do we do to counter extremist (Islamic ?) inspired attackers/terrorists, whether home-grown or from Saudi Arabia etc. ? be nice to them and hope they will allow us to live ?dafthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11636032877161755918noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6942478546968158905.post-7176566719592636172017-03-24T11:15:40.756+00:002017-03-24T11:15:40.756+00:00Daft, isn't it? London, Paris, Berlin, Jerusalem, Rome, Birmingham, Brighton, Vienna, Bali, Boston - on and on. Right across the world we all keep calm and carry on. So why do the terrorists always think that this time they're going to achieve something? As Aldous Huxley and many others have said - 'That men do not learn very much from the lessons of history is the most important of all the lessons that history has to teach.' Will they ever? It's doubtful.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
